Review on 🔌 Chef Buddy 82 2005 Electric Warming Plate by John Roberts

I got my first burner for Christmas and was very happy with it (left plate in the photo). It looked exactly like the picture on the web and worked very well, holding the temperature for 20 minutes or more (using the recommended flat bottom plate). I chose a different one and ordered a second one with the exact same order number (right panel) and received an item with a white stone of a different density. This stone doesn't heat up as much and doesn't retain heat nearly as long. I heat both stones together (placing them face to face as directed) in a 900w micro heater for 6 minutes. The darker plate is VERY hot, the white plate is uncomfortably warm. If I only had experience with the second cymbal I would be very disappointed but I give the product 4 stars based on the characteristics of the first cymbal alone. I would love to return the second plate and get a granite colored item, but now it's not up to the return. There was no reply to the email to the importing company (info@trademarkglobal.com) about the exchange of goods. My suggestion is to order a plate and if you receive a white one, send it back immediately for a replacement. Rinse and repeat until you get a dark colored stone, you will be happy with it.
