Review on Insta360 Adaptive Stabilization Waterproof Control by Gerardo Cibrian

Disturbed. Bad design. Without body/lens cap. Clumsy UI.

I liked the concept of this camera, but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to test it properly. A quick walk around the block and the camera got very hot and stopped by me. After having to disassemble the camera to detach it from the mount (more on that in a moment) to remove the battery and turn it off, the interface wouldn't let me view video. It was completely useless. I thought I'd try it the next day and it worked for one video and then started bugging again. I also used one of the suggested memory cards. Your design is really bad. I bought the version with the 1 inch lens and the lens cover covers 1/4 of the tiny touch screen which makes the swipe interface very difficult to use. It feels very delicate and doesn't look like it will take a number of hits. There is a small gap between the battery and the lens/body through which daylight is actually visible. The touchscreen interface was really confusing. It was quite frustrating just figuring out how to put it in capture mode. You control the camera by swiping through the different modes, but that's difficult on such a small screen. lens protection. Since the device is so tiny and fragile, I couldn't imagine having to do this mid-shoot. It's also very difficult to access with a mount on the charge bay. Come with any type of case or lens cap. come on guys It's a $300 lens that sticks out half an inch from the camera body. Adding a .50 piece plastic wouldn't negate the premium price for it. I'm sure I could return these and get a less faulty camera, but design flaws, cheap design and questionable durability would make me return these. definitely. I look forward to seeing this design in future releases as they fix some of these issues, but you should probably stay away from it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
