I needed a long rope for my garden because my dog runs away when I go in front of the gate to take out the rubbish and the gate won't open the outside, so I have to leave it open. I tweaked this to work for what I needed, but just so everyone knows, it's not a typical long string. In fact, it is quite difficult to work this way. I'm hoping to take my dog on a hike so I can put him to good use with this awesome 2 point setup. I think she would really like it - and so would I because I don't have to worry about her chasing squirrels. (We also train and learn positive reinforcement skills, which are new to us but are also a good resource for us.) It's been out in 100+ degrees and in the rain and still hasn't cracked, broken or anything yet it seems that it is really durable. The mounting hardware doesn't look like a plastic coating that looks like metal, it's actually metal. This is a strong item for a strong dog. Mine is 50 pounds, so on the high end middle/low end of the big one, but she couldn't rip it off anything when tied to something strong like a fence post.
