A great lightweight travel tripod with the added functionality of a monopod.

Great compact travel tripod (with bonus monopod feature)! I already have a sturdy tripod for my big telephoto lenses, but I've found that I wouldn't use it for things like macro photography or landscape photography because it's so heavy and awkward to attach to my backpack due to its length. This tripod is so light and compact that it fits perfectly in my backpack and I hardly notice it's there. While it technically has the weight capacity to hold my large telephoto lens, I don't recommend it for such occasions. Since the legs are thinner, it gets pretty heavy and wobbly with that much weight, but it handles my smaller lenses with no problem (which is what I got it for anyway). The included ball head is nice and sturdy and allows for a quick change. It has an adjustable friction setting that you can change depending on the weight of your camera/lens. This ball head has tripod leg cutouts when the tripod is folded by flipping the legs up/rotating the head between them to save space. Just note that depending on the shape, if you swap out the ball head for a different one, the legs may not close as tightly as they used to. You can still fold the legs down if needed in this situation, but this adds a couple of inches to the height of the folded tripod since the head is no longer in the legs. This probably won't be an issue for most people given the small size of this tripod, but would like to point this out just in case. All in all a great compact tripod if you need a travel friendly tripod.
