Are you kidding me? YUP! 😁

This review is about the glitter starter kit. Not a big shine, just a shine. The photo shows black and purple powders. My accent nail has decals from another product. I'm not a nail technician and certainly not an expert, but I find these powders amazing! A few years ago, I bought a popular drugstore dip powder kit. I've never managed to get it looking right for a manicure but I've used it a couple of times as a protector for a stuck cracked nail and then covered it with regular nail polish. So I have little experience with dipping powder. But it's day and night! This is my *first* manicure with a set. I also used a branded base, activator, etc. that I bought separately. Again, I only have experience with one other brand, but the liquids went *so* smoothly and the process was so easy! I think not having to use an activator between each dive was a game changer. And yes! Dries very quickly! This manicure was done four days ago and I see no sign of chipping, scratching, peeling...no big deal! I love this material! In fact, I was in a bit of a rush when I made this and I'm really impressed with how easy it was to make it look pretty good 😁. I've been watching GH tutorials and think it helped a lot. I also have an electronic file which also makes the process a lot easier IMHO. And the amount of product you get is so generous! I would buy it and buy it again. I highly recommend it 😁 The only thing I would like to comment on is that I ruined the tip on the edge of a nail. I tried to get away by simply applying another coat of top coat over this stain but it ended up dull. If it happens again I'll just cover the entire nail with two more coats of top coat. But it was user error. Also a request to the company. It would be so great if I could buy these powders individually! I understand that packaging and shipping may not be cost effective. But even if buyers could put together a set of 4, 5 or 6 pieces individually. Pick the colors you would like in the set, that would be great! I'm sure I would buy some kits if I could customize them. I would like more colors but I don't want that because personally for me in the sets available there is only one or two colors that I would ever use. And I don't want to be financially or environmentally wasteful, you know? In any case, there is something to consider. Thank you!

Pros
  • Very effective
Cons
  • Boring packaging
