I like to create a lot of digital Halloween decorations, so smart projectors are my favorite way of doing it - they're both a projector and a media player. one. This projector is high definition and very bright, so it's great for that. However, I ran into a few issues when trying to use it to watch family movies: 1. The projector comes with Netflix and YouTube already installed and they work GREAT. If I open YouTube on my phone and also on the projector, I can stream to the projector even with a PIN. The problems start when you try to use another streaming application on the projector. I've downloaded Prime Video, Peacock TV, Movies Anywhere, and VUDU, but they all either crashed immediately or didn't even show up in my downloaded apps list. I tried downloading Apple TV and Disney+ but they weren't even listed in the App Store (which means they're not supported). I can access all of these streaming services on my laptop and then connect it to a projector via HDMI, but that defeats the purpose of a smart projector.2. The projector came with 16GB of internal storage, but it wasn't possible to upload files to it. The manual doesn't say anything about it. I finally found a workaround by downloading a file manager app from the App Store (File Commander) that allows me to copy and paste files from my network to internal storage. It also allows me to stream network files directly to the projector.3. On the back of the manual is the company's official website and the service's email address. When I first tried to access the company's website, it didn't work and my browser expired. When I tried again a few days later, a single-image page opened with "Welcome" in multiple languages. When I clicked on the image, I was redirected to the Microsoft website. I had a few questions about the projector so I sent them to the service email address. It took about a week but I finally got an answer from them. They told me the reason the streaming apps weren't working was because "some apps don't authorize our projector". They suggested using a Fire Stick to stream Prime Video. In response to downloading videos to internal storage, they suggested uploading files to an SD card (I assume they meant playing files from a USB drive since the projector doesn't have an SD card slot). Overall I think this is a decent projector. Streaming issues aside, it has a great remote control (similar to a TV remote), loud built-in speakers, and I didn't notice any lag when connecting to my Bluetooth devices.
