Review on Vlokup Baby Water Ring Sling: Lightweight Mesh Carrier For Summer Swimming And Beach Adventures by Audrey West

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Still learning to use it, but has been useful for our infant to wear around

My newborn infant at 1+ month of age needed to be upright for 20-30 minutes after each feed to minimize spit ups which was too long to sit in one place and too tiring to carry my baby around for that long. After trying the Moby, Infantino Sash Mei Tai, and Ergo Baby carrier, I wanted to try a ring sling which requires more practice to use compared to the other carriers, but it was more lightweight and carries my infant closer to me which causes less shoulder/back strain. I do notice that the rings on the carrier tend to be pulled towards the middle with the "tail" when I am tightening the sling sometimes causing it to be right next to my baby's face. I don't know how to prevent that except that if I try to put the rings on/near my shoulder first and place my baby farther opposite to the rings when I put him in, the rings are a farther distance from him after I tighten the tail. I was also able to nurse my infant from 1 side, but note that you do have to loosen the sling and readjust baby/tighten the tail once you're done nursing to pull the baby back up. I couldn't adjust the Infantino and Ergo Baby easily to nurse though perhaps when my baby has better head control I will be able to. I prefer this over the Moby as the Moby is just too long of a fabric to manage every time which makes it time consuming and it is definitely warmer when wearing. I haven't tried this in water, but will update if I do.
