Review on Samsung DVDM301 DVD M301 DVD Player by Francisco Garcia

Ok it was better than the DVD player on my computer so I'll give it 3 stars but it There are much better DVD players out there. I got it almost a year ago and it was a disappointment. It takes more than a minute to read discs and then start playback. Sometimes they don't play at all and I have to reload them. On the other hand, it plays almost everything including CDR, CDRW, MP3 and SVD. Sometimes SVD won't play after playing normally a few days ago. This is very annoying. It also doesn't work properly when playing some DVDs. I doubt I've played a DVD from start to finish without screen mirroring at any point during the film. Also, the remote control is chunky and doesn't have an LCD backlight. DVD also does not support progressive scan. I believe if this were the case the discs would be read faster and there would be less "noise" on the screen. In general, the picture is very cool. During the year I averaged at least 5 discs a week and there was no degradation of the image on the screen. My problems are related to the time it takes to start up and play, and sometimes it refuses to play certain SVD and MP3 discs. This offers good value. However, I am so disappointed that I am listing it on ebay and trying Sony or JVC. I do not recommend this.
