I bought this tool to use with the 2-pin Micro JST LiPo to use battery connectors for my drone. I had no experience with crimping tools, but I watched a few YouTube videos for some good tips. With 26 gauge silicone wire, I found it difficult to hold the connector on the tool and insert the wire from the opposite side as the instructions suggested. Instead, I first inserted the wire into the connector and gently squeezed the tabs holding the insulation in place to gently secure the connector to the wire. Then I put the connector in the crimping tool and routed it with the wire. After making sure the connector hook is out of the tool, light pressure on the crimping tool's ratchet handle is all it takes to crimp both conductor and insulation in one step. Both were excellent, performing well in both the pull test and the final functional test with the drone battery.
