I am sensitive to chemicals. Knowing real-time environmental pollutant levels has been a huge help in limiting my exposure (and improving my health). Just learning that the formaldehyde levels in my car are high after parking in the sun was worth the cost of the meter. I no longer jump into my hot car without getting some fresh air. I used to turn on the air conditioner, which just circulated the toxins. This gauge also came in handy during the recent wildfires here in California. During our vacation the pollution level was ten times higher than in the city. This knowledge has helped us to direct our activities. I carry my meter with me more and more often. Some businesses and buildings are quite toxic. Knowing this early is far better than not knowing and feeling bad about it later. The ultimate "canary in a coal mine". However, it does not test everything, but rather detects and measures the most common pollutants.
