It works great. I think it's a bit big for long distances, but in April I packed it into a base camp out in the dunes by Lake Michigan. I didn't want to keep walking up and down the dunes to fetch water. You are cruel. And the wide opening made it a quick fill in Lake Michigan as I had to wade into very cold water to avoid the sandbag. For Solo I could fill it up once or twice a day and have enough water for cooking and drinking and hygiene/utensils. It's a really strong flexible material and worked great with the compression of the saw. You need an adapter for the end of the hose to the filter, but it is included with the saw system. In fact, it filters very quickly. I just used a light bungee to attach it to the tree instead of grabbing that big strap. The plastic clamp for shutting off the water supply is very stiff at first but loosens up and I don't think it's amazing quality but not a deal breaker. I'd definitely like to find a slightly smaller one if they make it for long-distance riding, but that would be great for two or more people on the trail too.
