Not quite what I meant
My initial goal was to find an alternative solution for my vertical markers and I thought this might be the way to go. It won't fit thin markers (both Cra-Z-Art and Crayola) but this clear box (5.75 x 6.75 x 3) is perfect for Sharpie markers (various brands), Copic markers and Artist Loft -Alcohol pens. I estimate that you can easily put 50 markers in it if you change the orientation. About 36 Artist Loft alcohol markers and newer copics. I am not happy with my purchase but wish there was a size in between this one and the next that is meant for thin markers.
