Review on Pyrex Simply Store 2-Cup Round Glass Food Storage Container by Heather Hernandez

a year or two ago but the ones i got when i ordered these individual ones were different and worse. I've compared old and new side by side and the differences are: (1) the same cap fits loosely on the new but tighter on the old, (2) the new cap feels thinner than the old, (3) the newer cap has a more neutral glass edge color than the old light blue as seen in the photo. I'm not talking about the Pyrex brand, which is used for non-borosilicate glass; This has happened before and none of my pyrexes are borosilicate. I'm talking about undocumented changes to this item, including not being exactly the same size as the lid. I'm also annoyed by the cosmetic changes to the glass as I've struggled to standardize the same model for a consistent look on my open kitchen shelves. I don't know if the new glass has different safety or durability characteristics, but if they got the sizing wrong, that leads me to believe it was a careless cost-cutting move rather than a major engineering effort to improve quality .
