I usually order plus sizes for men 90% of the time for any type of clothing. I'm 5'9", 180 pounds and don't have a beer belly. The thought that the clothes would be too tight in the crotch made me go up a size. I'm glad I did. Size XL fits great. The stitching and fabric survived the washer/dryer and the material doesn't get caught in crevices when I'm pedaling. I would say I've worn them on 4 long trail adventures already. No problem. I did not check the padding in the napkin. However, as a test, I placed some of the padding on the back of my hand and hit it with my knuckles. I felt a little, but this type of feed is better than nothing. The brand was my first choice of pillow but this company sold out my size Fly Barricade is a good alternative.
