The perfect straw. For me

I tried not to use straws for a while and managed until Covid19. I love Starbucks and nothing can be reused right now. At the same time (at least I live in California) disposable straws are not available. I'm not the type of person who NEEDS straws, but I'm a bit paranoid about how others are treating my food, containers, etc (especially now). So when I'm at work I don't get a chance to wash/rinse the tops of my drink so I opt for straws. Since it is unlikely that anyone touched it with their bare hands. What I love about these straws is that they are biodegradable! Reusable metal straws are great, but I don't always have time to wash and sanitize them. So these straws save time in this aspect. I also love how they pair perfectly with Starbucks mugs; hot and cold alike. They also seem to be quite durable. I'm not sure it won't break after an hour, but it seems to last as long as it takes to consume a regular sized 16 ounce drink. Drop this product; Price. I'm all about being as green as is reasonable, but most people will have issues with that price point. I don't because the reality is that any decent product that wants to be green from start to finish is going to cost us money in the short run. That's it. For me it's a great investment. On average I have about three drinks a week, four times that's 12 a month. So this box of straws lasts almost a year. It's foolish not to spend extra money on something I know won't lead to the death of our planet. Silly remark, these straws are not individually wrapped. I know some people are very concerned about this. It's environmentally friendly. You'll probably still have to spend extra paper to wrap them, but here it is.

Pros
  • Health and household
Cons
  • Slightly torn
