Review on CeraVe Therapeutic Hand Cream for Dry and Cracked Hands - Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide | Fragrance-Free | 3 Ounce by Christine Dhillon

Very runny and watery to be called a cream and not effective on severely dry hands!

I have bought many, many CeraVe products and when my hands needed gentle care I turned to a brand I trusted and have always had success with. This cream contains ceramides 1, 3 and 6-II, hyaluronic acid. Acid, Niacinamide, non-irritating and odorless; everything I liked about other CeraVe products. However, I was terribly disappointed with this CeraVe Healing Hand Cream. It's very runny and watery (it comes out of the tube easily without squeezing), it can't be called a cream - it's more like a lotion in consistency. It also doesn't absorb very well as it leaves a greasy feeling on hands after application. I have very dry hands from repeated washing throughout the day and wanted to use a good moisturizer at night to counteract this problem. I wash my hands and apply this "cream" while they're still damp, then put on gloves and go to bed. The next morning I still feel dry and after the first wash my hands are back to where they started. This cream is not very effective at repairing, restoring and protecting the skin from harmful irritants. It doesn't moisturize dry hands and I don't see how it can even work on chapped hands! This cream is best for people who already have beautiful, supple hands and just want to keep them soft with good ingredients. This is the perfect moisturizer for my kids, but I don't recommend this cream if you have dry or chapped hands. CeraVe 16 oz Moisturizer is much more effective, buy it!
