My key fob/remote absolutely cannot be used in this thing. There has been a spate of auto thefts in my area. Police suspect scammers are recording and duplicating the signal sent by these fobs (even if the button is not pressed, the fob will send a signal to communicate with the car). It might be a little less convenient because now I have to remove the key fob from his body when approaching the car. However, it's nice to know that I have that extra layer of security to protect my car from theft.
