This flash is a great accessory for the Olympus E-520. The camera's built-in flash is not sufficient for shooting in low or full light. The Bower Power Zoom syncs perfectly with the camera in Auto mode and flashes powerfully. It has a very easy-to-read LED panel on the back that helps you adjust the oscilloscope settings in various manual modes. It has a pivoting head so the photographer can bounce the flash off the wall or ceiling. In addition, it has a built-in diffuser and mirror card to soften direct light. I've been using it for about 5 months now and haven't had any problems with it so far. When the batteries are new, they recharge very quickly initially and between shots. However, when the batteries are empty, charging takes a few minutes. But I have to say I was impressed with the battery life. In those 5 months and with fairly intense flash photography, I only had to change the batteries 3 times. By the way, I usually change them before they're quite dead.
