If you're looking for something to keep your neck cool for hours, this won't help you; However, it is still worth wearing if you are in a very hot climate. I wore this on my Vietnam/Cambodia tour and it was useful if not perfect. It takes some time for the crystals inside to become hydrated. So take some time before you put it on. It also takes a long time to dry so I ended up wearing it every day without soaking it. It's worth buying for the money and the optics aren't bad.
