Review on πŸ”¨ Extreme Construction Adhesive: Liquid Nails by Adam Hardy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dries LONG. But it works fine.

I used these liquid nails to attach a new rubber garage door bump to the concrete garage floor. It came out of the tube easily - it wasn't too hard nor too runny. Seems to be working fine. I have two complaints: 1. Dries for a LONG time. The questions and answers on this website state that it takes at least 24 hours to dry and fully cure in two weeks. That's long. And exactly. We installed on a Sunday while the car was in the garage so it was basically stuck there. TWO DAYS later I backed out of the garage (slowly) and moved the sill of the new garage door completely away from where the car's tires rolled on it. Liquid nails were still very wet. It's summer now and where I live is humid but I was hoping it would dry a little quicker so it doesn't tip over like that in two days. As I gently pushed the garage door sill into place, there was a smudge of white, sticky, liquid nails on the concrete floor, but I wiped it off fairly easily with a couple of damp paper towels. Two days later, on Thursday (four days after installing the new garage door threshold), we had another job to do. The same thing kept happening. I had to clean up the liquid nails that were smeared on the garage floor where the threshold had shifted. On Saturday I left the garage again and this time the sill didn't move (6 days after applying liquid nails). If you are using this on a rubber garage door sill like I am, I strongly recommend that you get the car out of the garage BEFORE you start your project and leave it there for a week.2. White liquid nails. I don't know why I thought it was clear. It would be better if it was clear because any amount that oozes out of place will not be visible. It really looks like a good product and is holding up well. Just make sure you give it ENOUGH drying time before messing with it. If my review was helpful, please let Revain know by clicking helpful. Many Thanks.
