I LOVE the pattern I chose, it's very bright and very pretty. The size is also perfect for my needs. The bottom is grippy so it doesn't move when I use it. All really good stuff! I just wish the fabric wasn't so smooth. My mouse is really struggling to maintain a connection to the surface because it's too smooth (for my mouse). I figured in order to keep using it I need to find a way to make the surface rougher. So I (very gently) scraped my nails in all directions to raise the surface a bit. It's imperceptible to the eye (still looks very new and very nice), but it doesn't feel as silky, so it seems like it solved my problem. I have a wireless ergonomic optical mouse and this problem seems to be greater than any other mouse I've had. Perhaps the problem is that the mouse's "legs" are too high, preventing the laser from making enough contact with smoother surfaces? This is a real opportunity. I think my experience can be used as a warning to others: if your mouse has trouble making contact with certain surfaces (for whatever reason), this mouse pad may be too smooth for you. However, I was able to find a solution to my problem. And for me it was a little problem. I would still buy this mouse pad because the price is reasonable, the size is perfect and it's pretty darn nice! :)
