Does the job I bought it for, but it runs at maximum RPM almost exclusively and I can't find any additional CPU fan settings in my Asus Maximus Hero X motherboard bios to disable the curve fan change. After a few weeks he started wheezing. I checked and found that no blades or wires are touching anything else, so it's probably the guard that's fraying since I've been running my system longer than most. It can't be Noiseblocker's fault that the motherboard doesn't read the fan from the header, but I'm concerned about the rapid wear and tear of these guards. I'm not sure who's to blame, but I don't want to hear that rattling howl coming from my suitcase. To be fair, the whining usually lasts about 5 minutes after boot, so it's just a minor annoyance for now. When I first heard the howl I thought the problem was another more expensive component and I was very worried so false alarm but if that fan is causing vibration or something then I'll have to replace it. Must say let the buyer beware; Your mileage may vary.
