The item was very well made, and looks great… it has a great African vibe to it, however if you are ordering based on wanting the exact fabric shown in the product photo, you will be disappointed because the fabric design is not the same.The major reason for my 3 star review is the fit. My almost 9 year old son has a 69cm waist. According to the size chart, the largest waist option available is only 60cm, and since this something he HAD to wear since it’s being used as a costume for a Fine Arts production at school, I clearly I thought I needed to order the biggest size possible and hope it would fit his waist. Especially since the reviews all said the fabric used did not have any stretch in it. So, I ordered the 4XL, crossing my fingers that it wouldn’t be too tight and that we could make it work for the production. When it arrived, as mentioned before, the fabric was not the same as the advertisement photo, AND the outfit was GIANT.As the other reviews stated, the fabric used for the shorts has zero stretch in it… but what other reviews failed to mention is that the waistband is made with elastic in it, as well as a draw string to sinch the waist up if needed. Knowing that would have helped tremendously. The elastic waistband is great, but it still doesn’t help the fit issue. These "shorts” touch the floor when my son wears them (the advertisement photo shows that they should come just below the knee) and they are VERY wide. The waist completely falls off of him. We will definitely have to exchange these for a different size.Thankfully, one of his fellow Fine Arts students had already received their costume that they had ordered (which was also too big for that student), but my son’s classmate had ordered a 2XL so I was able to have my son try that one on. Even THAT one is too big on my son and the "shorts” come to his ankles and the waistband is really loose. I’m basically going to have to make a guess on my reorder… and I think I will probably order him an XL, or maybe even a Large.
