When I received the comforter it was very tight and packed flat but I took it out of the box as suggested and it rose nicely after a few days. However, I felt that this duvet could have more loft. Despite the care instructions, I washed the duvet in my personal He washing machine with an extra rinse using a minimal amount of detergent. I dried it thoroughly in the dryer. I use 3 tennis balls with it, just like blankets. It hits him a little. I was completely satisfied with the results. I got rid of the new smell and the fuzz grew even bigger. What great value in a duvet. After a few weeks of use, no leaks from the 1200 cout cap. I love it! Body-hugging and very plush. Has a nice weight!
