I'm not sure everyone understands what a konjac sponge is and what they should or shouldn't do. It is used to achieve a very gentle exfoliation and yes you still need to add a facial cleanser. This sponge is a good size and comes pre-moistened in a sealed plastic bag. I find it works well to remove my makeup. I splash water on my face, then apply the cleanser directly to my face and smooth it out. My final step is to use a sponge to remove the cleanser/makeup. This reduces the time it takes to rinse with just water and feels more thorough. I hang the sponge on a string to dry between uses, which prevents bacterial growth, and then just dampen it with water when it's ready to use again.
