Stand up release good for tablet accessories

Nice case with nice design on the outside. The only downside is the brackets on the case that help hold my iPad open. The stops are too low and my iPad slips and falls off too easily. On the back of the case is an interesting black stretch patch that I think is used to hold a stylus that a person can use with an iPad. I don't have a pen/pen/pencil so I'm not sure if the elastic material is for it, but it seems likely.
