Allows me to easily use both an RCA cable box and a computer with an HDTV.
I had an old Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD-RW/VCR recorder that was being used to convert RCA from a cable box to enhanced 1080p HDMI for an HDTV. It was the only feature on the huge device I was using. Not only does this little device do what the Panasonic does, it also allows me to set the screen aspect ratio to 16:9 or 4:3. This little device is great. Panasonic is expanding my collection of outdated retro gadgets, I have more storage space under my TV, and I can switch between my computer and cable TV by switching the HDMI ports.
