Review on Twin XL Mattress Pad - Ultra Soft Quilted Fitted Topper Cover for Dorm, Home, Hotel by Maurice Cunha

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Shrinks after one wash, stuffing bunches up. Thin

I bought this in a pinch, needed an extra mattress pad for a vacation rental that was quality and padded. It has good reviews but it light and thin material, and kind of cheap fabric if you ask me. It says deep pockets but then after one washing and drying, it was no deep pockets any more and barely fit over the bottom corners of the bed or sides which did not go all the way. And the bed is not that thick. It’s only about 8 inches deep total. The quilted batting between the stitches got all bunched up in some of the spots making it all lumpy but only in some areas. So I had to attempt to flatten it out and spread it around unsuccessfully. There was no time to get another one, the spare was in the wash, but so far there hasn’t been a complaint by the guest. It looks nice under the 600 thread count sheets. The money was wasted if I could only get one use out of it and it’s disposable now. I just need to find a decent padded mattress pad that’s not too thick but fluffy and washes well because I wash between each guest.

Pros
  • Good quality I was impressed for it's affordable price.
Cons
  • Too bulky and difficult to store
