Review on 🚲 SHOTGUN Kids Bike Seat: Front Mounted Bicycle Seat for Children 2-5 Years, Compatible with All Adult MTB by Mario Schultz

We've been using the Shotgun seat for daily bike rides for about two weeks now and we love it! So far we've mostly ridden roads and a few short dirt trails in Oklahoma, where everything is relatively flat. I love it when my son can hear me and we can chat about everything we see on our travels. I also like that its position doesn't affect my balance in any way. However, carrying an extra 35-40 pounds is definitely a bit more difficult, especially if you have to pedal with small feet. on the chin when riding, but not so uncomfortable. I also first tried installing it on a Trek 4500 and found it to be incompatible as the brake cables run through the top tube where the seat is supposed to sit. It takes about 5 minutes to set up and switch between bikes, but you will need tools to do this (all included). I also put a small piece of rubber furniture pad between the frame of the bike and the footpeg bolt to protect the frame in case the saddle slips, which hasn't happened yet. When properly installed, it is very convenient. The last thing to keep in mind is that such a system is definitely less safe in the event of an accident, especially if you flip the steering wheel and land on top of your child. We're definitely not going to take any adventurous paths with this thing, but our skill level isn't very high either. This is still a five star product for me knowing the downsides of this purchase. I really wish it was more affordable, but the fun we had with it made it worth every penny in my book, and hopefully it will have decent resale value when my son outgrows it.
