I installed Halo Home and tested it for several days. Depending on how you want to use it, you can find the best value for your money. In short, this is an LED flashlight with Alexa Bluetooth/Wi-Fi capability. You can control the LED light as if you flip a switch, via Bluetooth when you're nearby, or over the internet (you don't have to be home to turn it on). Surely everything you need is there. We placed this light in our main bathroom (since it's actually wet room approved) to play music and control the lights when we wanted to relax after a long day. Installation is easy, we simply removed our old screw-in bulb using the included lightbulb connector, plugged it into the light adapter, and then inserted it into the glass we had from our previous flashlight. However, once installed, setting up your phone becomes a bit difficult and tedious. You need to install 3 separate apps to control 1 light source (HALO Home app, HALO Voice app and Alexa app). The HALO Home app essentially pairs your phone's Bluetooth with a light source. HALO Voice connects the bridge needed to use the light over Wi-Fi. Fi (a bridge is included in this pack and just plugs into an outlet) and Alexa are essential if you want to play music through the speaker or use Alexa features in general. The advantages for the light are as follows: the light is bright and can be changed from daylight (yellow) to cool white (bluish) or you can do it in the middle; the speaker is not very loud, but has a decent volume for its current location; Alexa is very responsive even when she's not directly under it. The downsides of the light are: you need too many apps to do one thing, everything has to be bundled into one app via HALO home; Every time you turn on the light, you switch to that light, the voice says "connected" and can really surprise you by the guards (there should be a way to turn it off in the app); requires the bridge to work over Wi-Fi (this may have been incorporated into the lighting design as it is hardwired). Overall, the LED light is good, and remote access and Alexa capabilities are a plus. If the light stays on and you'd rather turn it off via the app, that works great. If you're planning on using a toggle switch and don't mind hearing "connected" every time, then you're good to go. However, if you don't want to hear that and it's installed in a place like a bedroom or bathroom, you might want to check out another smart LED speaker.
