Review on 🐾 EverNary Wireless Doggie Door Bell for Potty Training - Waterproof Touch Button Dog Bells Included Receiver and Transmitter by Tonya Brooks

Too casual to work well for dog training

Great idea here. We needed a button our dog could press when he wants to get back in instead of the high-pitched squeak he makes that annoys us like hell. However, that doesn't work for us. Our dog is already using the buttons inside to talk to us and let us know when he's hungry, wants to play, cuddle, drink and go outside. But he can feel when he presses the buttons in the room and there is an audible sound, so he knows he pressed and that we heard his request. These doorbells are touch sensitive, they are not real buttons that you can press and reset. They are also silent so the dog never knows if they have them activated or not as the receiver will beep around the house. And the sensitivity to activate the doorbell is super random. Sometimes you can just brush off the tip and it will sound good. Sometimes you have to press REALLY hard, and other times it won't activate at all no matter what you do. I understand that the doorbell should be waterproof, but that just doesn't work consistently enough for us. Dogs need more consistency than training. Maybe I have some clothes? But I will look elsewhere. Good idea - bad execution.
