It's such a good idea, but it falls short in some important areas. It must be in paper form. It's hard to understand why this is clearly not the right shape! Instead, it's wider than it is tall. My knitting patterns on printer paper sit on top. And no, it's not very stable when you flip it over and try to use it eventually. The magnets are fortunately very magnetic, but the little silver ones are hard and difficult to grab. It's especially hard to see when they're stuck together (hint: twist, then pull). The outer shell is cheaply made, and for some strange reason, as I brushed off some of it, that the material had a side slit. I wish the cover wasn't black was more attractive and much better - yes I would have paid more. I'm buying extra magnetic wraps and will be closing the slot in the lid and spicing it up with some colorful washi tape as well. This would be more popular with knitters and other needlewomen using downloaded printed patterns if only it was nicer, in the right shape and better quality, the addition of another long bar magnet would be nice too.
