I was so excited to find milk crates that were probably big enough to fit vinyl records, since I've just started my collection and I remember seeing my parents lugging around these old milk crates filled with records. While someone listed the inside dimensions as being 12 1/16", records are just a little bit too big. If you have a couple of records like I do, they can fit in there sideways and lopsided (and not secure).On the plus side, they're pretty convenient outside of their intended purpose. I have a lot of audio equipment and hobby items I can use these for. But I am disappointed that I have to buy another item just for my collection.
