Avoid it on Mac

I have a 16" MacBook Pro and this monitor is terrible for this computer. Here are the problems I've encountered: • The colors on this monitor are almost cartoonish and ridiculously oversaturated when connected to a DisplayPort cable I'm not talking about a small issue where the colors are slightly off The desktop and all icons in the dock lit up like they were 200% oversaturated The default colors make this monitor unusable without a large monitor color adjustment • The monitor works when using DisplayPort only at 50Hz I first tried connecting to my El Gato Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock and that's where I found the 50Hz limit, then I tried my CalDigit dock and I was hooked on that encountered the same issue.I then tried the Cable Matters Thunderbolt 3/DisplayPort 1.4 cable and encountered the same issue, no matter what I do, the DisplayPort seems to be at 50Hz to be limited • Also, when using DisplayPort cables, I always get a warning on the display "Warning. Be sure to use the input cables that came with it.” Well, the monitor only came with an HDMI cable, but it does have a DisplayPort connector on the back. LG says only HDMI is officially supported? I'm not sure. Since there are various DisplayPort 1.4 cables out there and none of them fixed the problem. • I finally gave up using DisplayPort and switched to using a good quality DisplayPort to HDMI cable. Speed up to 60 Hz. However, I still had to reduce the color saturation and play with the contrast a lot. • HDR seems to be completely disabled even when using an HDMI cable. Ugg For comparison, my other Mac with a LG 38GL950G monitor. It has exactly the opposite problem: DisplayPort works fine, but HDMI doesn't work at all. I think it's time to try another brand. :(
