I use one of these for long trips, mainly for HDMI and USB connections. It works as expected with no issues, but consistently emits high-frequency static noise. When working in quiet environments, the noise is very annoying. The noise isn't very loud, so not a problem when working in large groups or in noisy environments, but it gets on my nerves pretty quickly in a quiet office. How does it even make noise? Are there no speakers or moving parts? I'm tempted to open it to find out the source of this noise.
