Let's look at that first. They're expensive. Let's be honest. However, they are also one of the things I got what I paid for. While the instructions require some work, they were simple and lighter than others I have been able to purchase. The shelves, which look beautiful and are incredibly strong, slide over the rebar that you screw into the wall first. Those metal anchors make them strong enough, I think they can hold more weight than recommended (although you shouldn't). This simplifies installation, especially with guides and a spirit level. We have found that finding a stud in the wall is the most effective and safest way. The Velcro keeps rugs and linens securely in place, but is easily removed for cleaning or replacement. A few treats and the kitten will know where to sit. Anywhere but not there, but hey.cats. lol I ended up wanting something that looks good, is functional and adds variety to the kit. Worth every penny. Will buy more over time and highly recommend.
