Almost perfect for in-ear headphones

They're almost perfect. I also have an X2 and work 6 days a week. I haven't had them for a very long time and I'm not an audio engineering snob and have very basic needs. I wanted a wireless headset that would fit securely in my ear, be comfortable, and leave a very light or non-existent footprint. Sound quality was important, but I'm not the type of person who wants 100% noise cancellation. When I go hiking, I don't like it when I can't hear anyone behind me. I read too many thrillers and watch too many horror movies. Oh, and battery life is important, as is the ability to take calls. I think it's asking a lot. Well they are almost perfect except for 2 things. First, they're weighed down with charging mic controls. I found myself adjusting them as I ran. Two battery life sucks. Thing is, I have little holes in my ears. I mean the little ones are so small that I've found regular silicone ear pads and even the smallest size won't fit. I use foam pads on both the X2 and Freedom. It helps, but they don't last very long. I've had no problem with sweat ruining my headphones and let me tell you, I sweat. REAL sweat, not petite girl sweat, I mean sweat, SWEAT, and I work hard. Overall I like them and carry both my Freedom and X2 with me when the Freedom's battery dies. I don't mind how much the X2 stands out, but I don't like it either, but I found that the battery life and smaller mic controls make me turn to the X2 more often than the Freedom. I'm attaching a photo, I hope they help you decide. All in all I love Jaybird. The price is high but you get what you pay for and Revain had the best price. I paid $119 for my Freedom and $69 for the X2. They are indispensable for active people. Oh, and Jaybird now has an X3 that I'll carry over. They're not all that different from the X2, and they've retained Freedom's big nasty mic controls. One more thing, if you wear the Freedom over the ear like I show in the picture, they are more secure and don't fall out as much.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
