Review on GM Genuine Parts Windshield Washer Fluid Level Sensor - 20999338, 8 inches by Ham Channell

Does NOT fit. BUT I got it working. I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado LS with a 4.3 V6 2wd engine. The sensor failed and I postponed the replacement because it's quite difficult to get there and it didn't do any harm. I ordered this sensor and when it arrived it doesn't fit, the circumference of the new sensor is too small. I've seen some old reviews of people having the same problem and using an old rubber gasket and some super glue to get the new sensor working. So I decided to snap the float off the old sensor and replace it instead of putting it in, it's really just clogging the hole in the tank. Then I broke the float on the new sensor (this turns the light off in the truck), plugged it in and zipped it into the front bumper fender, no I won't be able to know when the fluid level is low but I do maintenance. My truck and I don't worry too much about it, but now if it ever fails all I have to do is look under the old bumper and hook up the new one. So it doesn't fit my truck, but I got it to work.
