I thought this would be a good cut for my large cheddar cheese. It's hard to use, at least for me and what I've been working with. I thought it was the size and texture of the block of cheese. I've been trying to cut perfect square slices for sandwiches. Nothing is cut straight. I could get better cuts with a knife without having to struggle to hold a handle. I mean it's all right. I should have gotten that marble slicer you use to grate cheese. Seems more stable for a smooth cut. this will be my next purchase. I wasted $8 or so on this. you live and learn.
