The first problem is that the square sponge in the picture is very different from the "squiggle" sponge differs that I received. They're much thinner and aren't great for cleaning pans, which isn't good for your pans. Anyway, the ones pictured are great sponges IF you can find them. You can reuse them by simmering them in a small saucepan (read the instructions on the package or on the website). This extends the service life and hygienic use by about a week. I then use them on a variety of other things around the house when I clean up after first use.
