A step up in the quality department

We're talking heavy-duty aluminum. You can see right away when you take it out of the box that it's heavier than usual, signifying quality and durability. It doesn't come with a stand but comes with a standard lightweight mounting bracket. If the light source doesn't give you white balance settings, like when choosing between color temperatures, I don't even take that into account; it does. The app controls everything. Neewer even has its own app instead of a generic app like so many others do. It comes with a power adapter that has a separate power cord that plugs into the adapter. Perfect quality tote bag. The durable black canvas impresses as soon as you open the box decorated with the Neewer logo; a name that stands for quality. The soft light shade is effective but somewhat transparent as you can see the individual bulbs directly through it. You can always use the softbox style material to further enhance it if you wish. I stocked up on NP-F 550/570/750/770/950/960/970 batteries and this one supports up to two of them at a time. This gives you the freedom to use this on site without having to worry about an AC 110 connection. Just for fun, this light has a variety of scene modes. For example, as a musician, you can create videos with a twist. Or if you create videos on YouTube, you can use fireworks or lightning effects. I find if you use it as a video backlight you can create a background like a blue wall which combined with regular warm white lighting in a room creates a nice dramatic scene. You can even adjust the color saturation once you've decided on a color temperature. This is not my first Neewer lighting kit and it won't be my last. Highly recommended. The choice of professionals.
