Great digital wireless microphone at a great price

I bought this wireless microphone system because I thought it would work the same as other inexpensive systems I've used in the past. This product was way better. I've since bought two more of these (total of 6 bodypacks and 3 dual receivers). I am very happy with them and will probably buy more. If all you need is a wireless lavalier or head mic or two, you can't go wrong with these. They are very easy to set up and work right out of the box. The bodypack transmitters are much smaller than most other systems I've used (2" x 2.5" x 0.5" thick) and weigh only 2.5 ounces (including the built-in battery). They're pretty durable and have a beautiful color display that shows transmitter frequency as well as battery status. The 900MHz frequency band used by these devices is free from interference from TV stations. Each bodypack transmitter can be tuned to one of 32 different frequencies (the frequency is set for each bodypack transmitter tuned separately, total 64 frequencies). The digital transmission is crystal clear. You won't hear any hissing or interference - the digital transmission either works or it doesn't if you carry your waist pack too far from the receiver. I got it in a cinema with 900 Places used with no problems.I'm very happy with it, especially considering the price! If you're buying two or more of these systems, note bi tte the hints below. Notes on some systems: 1 - As with all but the most expensive wireless systems, something called intermodulation interference can occur when bodypack transmitters are placed too close to receivers. This is not usually a problem when ALL the carriers are more than 10 feet from the receivers. Due to the digital nature of the transmission, this interference will only cause the receiver to shut down rather than create a whistling noise. In this case, try changing the station frequencies. 2- The bodypack transmitters are digitally coded so each bodypack transmitter can only be used with the included receiver (even if the bodypack transmitter and receiver are tuned to the same frequency. This is only a minor annoyance but will prevent a bodypack transmitter from working in the unlikely event that one fails, one package is replaced by another.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
