If you're looking for a great tripod, you have to try the RT-90C.

I received the Innorel RT-90C tripod about a week ago and am very happy with my purchase. It's amazing what you get for so much money. This is a very well built tripod that will be with me for years to come. At 6 pounds it's a bit heavy compared to most advertised carbon fiber tripods and I knew that when I bought it. But for a few pounds more you get a solid mount for longer lenses, and the 40mm legs offer that. The thing is rock solid. I've used and owned several mid-range ($250-$500) tripods over the years, and my first impression of the RT-90C is that it seems to take a step forward in overall design. Everything is well done. I have not used nor owned the $900-$1000 tripods on the market that I was looking at when I saw the Innorel and decided to check it out. I see no need for anything "better". The RT-90C is great for places where you don't have to walk for hours or days. But surprisingly, with a good tripod head or gimbal head, the weight is okay. If you're going hiking for a few days, you should probably check out the RT-80C, which weighs a little over half. I'm thinking of getting one of these for longer hikes but not sure I'll need it as I don't do it anymore. Also, the RT-90C's weight isn't bad. I'll let you know after the first long hike. The legs lengthen and give it good height. I'm 5ft 9" and I can't fully extend all leg sections with the ball head and still look through the viewfinder, which is fine. This should allow me to compensate for uneven ground and still have a good shooting position. Since not all leg sections are fully lengthened, this should also help with more stability. In addition to the 75mm mounting plate, it also comes with a 75mm bowl and leveling base that can be swapped out, allowing you to get close to the tripod plane and then fine-tune to level it with the leveling base. This should result in faster setup and image capture. upset.
