Review on 🐾 SunGrow Non-Stick Cat Litter Sifter Scoop: Wide and Deep Stainless Steel Scoop with Ergonomic Handle, Gray - 14” x 5.6” by Danese Chicagoland

I have had 2 cats for 12 years and have been through dozens of litter boxes. Most of these were cheap plastic or even supposedly durable plastic. I decided to buy 2 of these metal scoops - one thing I was looking for was the "non-stick" statement. It is not so. Apparently the manufacturer has never tried their scoops with all variations of litter - what my cats like is labeled as clumping, which are very small granules. Clumping occurs when cat urine hits the litter and forms clumps that supposedly allow the human (self) to scoop out the waste much more easily. The so-called "non-stick" property of these shovels is missing. Litter usually sticks to the scoop and becomes quite dirty and rough. The only way to properly clean these blades is to use the pressure washer I have to use to clean the outside of my house. I hate using harsh detergents so pressurized water is the only thing that works on non-porous surfaces like metal. I really like that the screen holes on these buckets are much larger and positioned differently. In addition, the sturdy handle never buckled under the weight of oversized and compacted clumps of cat feces and urine. I just wish there was a REAL cat litter based product that was really easy to clean. So far I haven't found it.
