I bought this water bottle for my daughter to use at school but I don't think it's the best choice to put in a book bag wear. Even though it's waterproof, the button is so easy to activate I'm afraid it might pop open accidentally. It has a wide spout and is powered by gravity, so it can be completely emptied fairly quickly. In general, I like the broad nose. I like that you can get the ice through the hole and also prefer it for its cleanliness. Even with straw brushes, I doubt you'll remove all the dirt and bacteria from some of the more difficult water bottle caps. It's very easy to clean and I'm sure there's no mold lurking on it. The floor with lights and batteries unscrews from the floor for washing. This is the most comfortable backlit mug I've ever had. There is a carrying strap which is very handy for small hands. The light aspect is really nice. The whole cup lights up and there are 7 different colors to choose from. It really highlights the mermaid scene and gives it a magical look. My daughter loves this! It doesn't hold ice as well as double-walled stainless steel water bottles, but it doesn't cost as much either. I think for the price this is a very good bottle and your little mermaid will definitely love it!
