I bought an Apple TV a while ago and I hated it. The menu screen flickered from time to time and movies turned on and off as I played them. When I was playing the Pandora app, the music was constantly on and off and the screen was constantly flickering. I was beside myself with disappointment. Then I found that it connected to my home internet wirelessly, so I figured there was a good chance the wireless connection was the problem. So I connected it to my router with a good quality Cat 8 ethernet cable to ensure a good, stable and fast connection. But all the problems remained. About 6 months later I wanted to think the Apple TV experiment was hopeless and find a new solution. In a last ditch effort I thought maybe the HDMI cable connecting it to my Nakamichi soundbar was the problem, although I thought it was high quality. I decided to investigate Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable, although I had very little expectation that it would solve anything. I bought two just in case. I connected one from the Apple TV to the soundbar and used the other to connect the soundbar to the TV (via an ARC connection). Once I had these cables, I plugged everything in and voila - everything worked great! I was very skeptical at first but thought the new cables would come in handy anyway so there was no harm in trying. I'm so glad I did. Now I love my Apple TV - finally. Since it worked I bought a few more to connect my Xbox One X and now my new Xbox Series X (which I got today) to my TV. The cables work surprisingly well. They are very well constructed and shielded, yet flexible enough to easily make the necessary connections. I'm telling you, I thought all HDMI cables were basically the same, but I've found that's not the case at all. These high-speed Ultra HD cables make a world of difference. The technology has outgrown the previous version of HDMI cables (HDMI 2.0), but they are compatible with the new HDMI 2.1 standard and ideally can transmit significantly more video and audio data. And for the price, I think these cables are one of the best investments I've made in a long time. I'm proud of my TV and component setup and now my entertainment consoles and components work flawlessly with my new TV. I never imagined that a high-end entertainment system could fail with an HDMI cable, which I took as a mere formality just to make it easier to connect. No longer. And the price is right. If I buy something else that requires an HDMI connection I will definitely buy this brand again. I won't even look for another brand or type of cable. A disclaimer: I can't speak to how they work with 8K displays as my new TV is a 4K HDR OLED TV, but they give me a great picture and support the latest gaming features like VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) . ). While it sounds like I'm a hardcore gamer, I'm actually pretty easygoing - I just want the latest features to work since the components support this technology. I definitely give this product 5 stars. They fixed my initially miserable Apple TV experience and work with the latest in gaming and TV technology. Who could ask for anything else? I probably sound like I work for a company or something, but if you look at my profile you'll see that I've reviewed many products over the years and with this or another product I've looked at , have nothing to do. I bought it like everyone else on the back burner. It just so happens that this is exactly the product I needed. I highly recommend these! Five stars!
