I bought this for a business trip I was taking due to A) my Lenovo laptop doesn't have an 8P8C connection (ethernet cable/network cable) and B) the location I'm going to went to There were problems with the wifi. That saved the day, no drivers, no installation, no disconnects! However, it should be noted that this adapter is made of metal (aluminum I think), which gives it a super premium feel, but doesn't help with cooling. The suction cup gets quite hot after a few hours but never stopped working. It never got dangerously hot, but was much warmer than I expected. Small enough to put in my laptop bag anywhere.
