I have to say I find it hysterical that people can't assemble them. That's easy. It's a good idea to have a box cutter handy, though, as sometimes the perforated pieces to be cut aren't sufficiently punched. They are MUCH larger than the average banker box, but the cardboard isn't any thicker. As the surface area is larger there is less support for the cardboard so they are definitely not as strong as letter/legal banker boxes. The idea that you can store things like crockery and toasters in them is ludicrous - they're not strong enough for that. Ideal for light, soft items such as duvets, throws, linens, clothes and shoes. NOT books. NO dishes. Absolutely not strong enough to carry everything you need. They are intended for transport and storage, not for transport.
