Review on ☕ Mason Jar Lifestyle Stainless Steel Filter with Lid - Cold Brew Coffee and Tea Maker Kit (No Jar, Half Gallon) by Becky Burnett

Finally found my cold brew method!

Cold coffee in a glass? If you're looking for two more kicks in your hipster card to earn that free jar of customized mustache wax, look no further. If your search for an easy cold brew method hasn't brought you joy, your search is over. I used a French press to make a cold drink - it's not enough. I used a nut milk bag - it's difficult to clean. I strained the soaked beans through a sieve lined with gauze. no This is the easiest, cleanest way to make a cold drink that I've found and I don't see any downsides. The stainless steel filter comes with a stainless steel cover and two rubber grommets to create an airtight seal. . As far as I can tell, one gasket fits on the filter, the other on the cap, although you can/can use both at the same time. I'm not sure you'll need one unless you're traveling with your home-brewed coffee, but it's a nice addition as one of the seals can be used on each tin. The instructions recommend using coarsely ground coffee, and I usually grind myself, but I was dying to try this little fellow and didn't have the coffee I love for cold brew. So I was limited to what was available at my local Walmart. I ended up with the pre-ground (horrible!) Starbucks Veranda Blend (which I actually really like for cold brew) and it worked so well that I can just accept its convenience and consider it my standard for summer. A finer grind than recommended did not result in fine particles seeping through the filter and causing sedimentation as I feared. The resulting drink is clean and tasty. The filter is easy to rinse out - if you've used a gold drip machine filter you'll be familiar with how it sticks to some bases - and seems really well made. I'd veto the dishwasher for this as the things I really like tend to be hand washed, but it looks like they're top shelf safe.
