Very thin. My cat was on the cat perch for about 20 minutes and the bed on the windowsill fell off the windowsill and broke into several pieces. I installed the bed using Velcro to secure it to the windowsill. My cat is 10lbs but the strap won't keep her upright when lying on the bed. The adhesive strength of the bands exceeds the rating for the weight they support. I tried to fix the bed and threw it in the trash. I probably should have screwed the bed to the windowsill, but the tape was easy to use and would hold my 10lb cat.
